LOOKING FOR HELP

Marie and I need to compile a concise list of our contributors for the first year of POETIC BLOOMINGS. We began in May 2011, so if I can get 12 volunteers to take a month each and make a list of all poets posting POEMS (poems only) for the Sunday prompts for the month you assume, it would be a great help. We will deal with the IN-FORM POET in another undertaking. The earlier months have fewer entries and would require less effort, so I would appreciate any of our more ambitious poets picking up the more recent prompts, and leaving earlier ones to those that still want to assist us but have less time to devote. All mystery behind this will be revealed when these months have been tabulated.

On completion, e-mail the lists to the poeticbloomings@yahoo.com  address. All that is required is the month and names of the poets (indicate multiple postings with an *). I do not need poem titles or any other information.

Please post a comment to let me know if you can help and which month you can pick up, to avoid duplication. Thank you for a wonderful year of poetics and your continued support.

    • Susan, please forgive me if my brain isn’t functioning clearly – it certainly wouldn’t be the first time – but I’m not sure I have ever seen you post here at Poetic Bloomings. It is so sweet of you to help us out!

I checked out your blog (excellent blog, btw), and I see that you include us in the list of sites you frequent. We would love to have you join in the chorus here, as often as you like.

Thanks again for your generous offer to help us out, and welcome to Poetic Bloomings!

      • Thanks Marie Elena:

In doing this task, I note that at times you post a poet in the Prompt. List them? Also, many who write to your prompt respond with a link to their poem rather than the poem itself. Should those be counted as well?

(I usually just leave the link– but after a few days, my poem is no longer at the link because I am saving myself for a possible marriage with a press–perhaps a thing of the past? Is there an advantage to leaving the entire poem in the commentary to a prompt?)

  2. I’ll do whatever month in 2011 still needs it.
Just let me know which one I get. Jan., Feb, Mar,.. whatever. All you need are the names of the poets? Am I reading this right? Or do you also want the names of the poems as well?

    • Looks like we’ve got it all now, Clauds. Thanks for the offer. I know how very busy you are!
